NASCAR Racing 2003 Season features a tutorial for drivers new to NASCAR Racing games. However, a patch was released allowing for the creation and use of custom mods, including series, tracks, sounds, and HUDs. Special paint schemes were not included nor were other series. NASCAR Racing 2003 Season features 43 NASCAR Winston Cup Series cars that raced in the 2003 season. Aside from the drivers included in game, more drivers such as fantasy, legends, or others not included in game can be downloaded from various websites. Rookies from the 2003 season such as Jamie McMurray and Casey Mears were not in the game due to the omission of Chip Ganassi Racing. NASCAR Racing 2003 Season features forty three official drivers however fantasy drivers were also included in the game.
